Reviewing my 101 Things in 1001 Days 2nd Edition | One Year Down

I’m one year into my second attempt at 101 things in 1001 days. Today I thought I would do a check-in on how the challenge is going, the second time around.

Firstly, here is the original post with all the things I’d like to do.

To date, I have achieved 22 of the 101 things. In my first attempt of the 101 things in 1001 days challenge I achieved 48, so I’m almost halfway to my original attempt, and I still have just under two years to go.

How is the 101 Things in 1001 Days Challenge going?

To make it easier to monitor, I labeled all my goals under multiple categories. Each is tailored to a specific area of my life. The categories include Writing, Books, New Experiences, Finance, Food & Drink, and more.

At the moment, I’m achieving in the Home & Personal and Food & Drink categories. I’m actively working on the challenges in the Health & Fitness category, but I’ve been struggling with Travel.

In 2021, it was difficult to travel anywhere because of COVID, but now I’m lacking time or money. Also, it’s quite difficult to travel without a car in the UK. Or at least, it feels more difficult. I would love to get to the Lake District and I keep planning to go, but the area I want to go to – Windemere – is quite hard to get to.

In 2023, I want to look at my blog and social media again. This year, life has forced my social presence to take a back seat. Although I’ve managed to grow a nice following on TikTok.

Finance is something – excluding the lottery ticket – that will take time, but I’m building on that. But New Experiences are expensive as well. Typical me, I want to save money but I also want to spend. Eventually, I’ll find a good balance. For now, I’m trying to focus on finance for a bit. Especially since I have a new job.

Next Steps

In the remainder of 2022 and in 2023, I’m hoping to get a few more of my New Experiences under my belt. I’d also love to branch out a bit when meeting friends for brunch or dinner.

What item on the list do you think I should prioritise? Let me know in the comments below.
