30 Books in 30 Days (Again!) | Results

We’ve come to that time to discuss how I got on with my latest 30-day challenge. In May, I challenged myself to read 30 books in 30 days (again!) I last did this in August 2020 and I managed to read 18 of those 30 books. This time around I only managed 13 books and 1 extra read…

To find out what I read in May see below. Firstly, let’s look at what books I aimed to read:

150 pages or less

250 pages or less

350 pages or less

450 pages or less

451 pages or more

Here are the books I managed to read in May:

  1. The Year of Magical Thinking by Joan Didion
  2. The Pearl by John Steinbeck
  3. The Lottery by Shirley Jackson
  4. House of Names by Colm Toibin
  5. Peter Pan by J.M. Barrie
  6. The Little White Horse by Elizabeth Goudge
  7. The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho
  8. No Modernism Without Lesbians by Diana Souhami
  9. Pandora’s Jar by Natalie Haynes
  10. Measure for Measure by William Shakespeare
  11. Safe Haven by Nicholas Sparks
  12. Writers and Lovers by Lily King
  13. Elizabeth and Her German Garden by Elizabeth Von Armin

I also managed to read Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows in May – but this wasn’t on my 30 Books in 30 Days list! However, I’m still going to count it.

I certainly didn’t meet my 30 books in 30 days goal, nor did I match my 18-book success from August 2020. However, reading 14 books in one month is not bad going. Particularly when you have a full-time job, a book coming out, and a series of marketing events that you run online.

What do you think though? Should I have read more? Which books should I read next? Let me know in the comments below.

Love Ellie x
